NICOLLETTE WILLIAMS
Multifaceted and multifarious Nicollette is a Perfoming Arts Teacher, Dancer, Choreographer and Creative Enthusiast. She shares this talent with multiple companies such as; Mustardseed Productions, Ascending Stars, and others. She is the first Barbadian Creative Arts Psychotherapist, a Registered Dance/movement Therapist, Mental Health Therapist, Creative Director, Addiction Counsellor, Motivational Speaker to add to her creative side. Nicollette has started her performing career from tender age of 3 years, her therapeutic journey for the past 5 years and her empowering platform for the past 2 years. This has been done nationally, regionally and internationally as well as on social media platforms. As a performing arts teacher and psychotherapist, she uses this dimension to aid in the development, emotional, physical, mental, social and physical development in working with clients, children and adults of all backgrounds. Finding tools for them to cope daily whilst still enjoying themselves in a healthy funfilled environment
JABARI BROWNE
A Musical Theatre enthusiast, singer, dancer, actor, rapper, and poet. Jabari has an Associates Degree in Mass Communication and he is a former student of Operation Triple Threat. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at the University of The West Indies where he studies Film and Theater. Jabari is a major lover of music as he has one studio album recorded titled Lack of Preparation. He also has music videos on YouTube some of which he directed, edited and performed. He comes from the famed Leacock Family in Barbados and his parents are former singers of the Ellerslie Folk Chorale. Jabari has been in many local Theatrical productions with Operation Triple Threat and the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) such as Mirror Mirror Show me a Hero, Into the Woods and The Wiz. Jabari is also a major leading role in the very popular local production Handel’s Caribbean Messiah produced by Dr. Stefan Walcott. Jabari Browne loves to write scripts and has a love for directing and teaching. His dream is to one day be an Internationally established actor where he can showcase his versatility in the Arts.
CAROLYN BARKER
SHEA BEST
Shea Best is a young Barbadian dancer, choreographer, actor and singer. His diverse background in
dance primarily stems from Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Afro-Caribbean, Dancehall, and
more recently, commercial forms of dance. In Barbados, Shea has trained extensively under many
tutors including Dany Diallo Hinds, Adonia Evelyn, John Hunte, and Gene Carson, among others. He
has toured performing throughout the Caribbean (Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Anguilla,
Antigua) and Canada. Shea has worked with and continues to dance, choreograph and tour with
several award-winning groups owing to his eclectic background and style. These include Dancin’
Africa, Of Another Nature, Riddim Tribe, and, Barbados Dance Project. Shea’s choreographic
prowess gained the attention of many at NIFCA 2019 leading him to become the island’s most recent
recipient of the ever-coveted Prime Minister’s Award along with a host of other top prizes. His most
recent work “In Pandem” performed by the BDP Juniors was featured
KEISHA AMORY
Keisha started dancing at the age of 4 with the Erdiston Primary School. At the age of 11 she was enrolled with the cultural group Dancin’ Africa where she performed for social and cultural gatherings, award ceremonies, national events and also toured to a number of places including Curacao, Canada, New York and Shanghai China. The group entered the National Independence Festival for the Creative Arts for many years and in 2005 she received the Prime Minister’s Scholarship for dance. She went on to study dance at the Edna Manley College for the Performing Arts in Jamaica, where she obtained her Diploma in Dance Theater and Production as well as a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography with Honours along with the Sheila Barnett special award for most outstanding performer. She has also performed with The Dance Place, National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica led by the late Rex Nettleford and also The Ashe Caribbean Performing Arts Ensemble and Academy also in Jamaica. Upon completing her degree she went on to being an apprentice with Ballet Creole professional company in Toronto Canada working with renowned choreographers such as Gabby Kamino and Debbie Wilson. A year later she advanced to a full time company member touring Canada and USA. In 2016 she received a distinction in Modern Theatre Dance under the Imperial Society Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) examination board. She has choreographed and performed for many local artist and music videos both in Barbados and Jamaica. Keisha lives to dance as she believes expression with movement is a way of life for everyone.
KEISHA DOWERIDGE
Keisha Dowridge is a mother, sister, daughter, friend and confidant and most importantly she is an artist. Specifically a dancer and choroegrapher. She is also an avid member of Dancin' African where she assist in the daily management and development of the its processes.She started dancing at the age of 16 and by the age of 21 she knew dance was the love of her life. She obtained her Assoicate degree in Dance from the Barbados Community College where she studied for 3 years in Ballet, Modern, Caribbean Folk and more under the tutelage of Gene Carson, John Hunte, Mary Waithe, Shama Harding, Dr. Yvonne Weekes and most importantly Jennifer Sealy.Within the last 5 years Keisha has been redeveloping herself and skills as a dancer and teacher of the arts, through interactions with young and mature people within the community.In 2017 she was choosen out of a pool of renowned choreographers to mount a choreography on some of the countrys' best dancers for Barbados' 50th Monuement. Most recently she was one of 6 women choosen to represent Barbados in New York with the Brooklynettes for there Barbados night at the NBA game, Booklyn Nets vs Toronto Raptors.In addition to this she is also seeking to further her studies by obtaining her Bachelors in choreography and performing skills from The University of the West Indies.As Keisha continues on her path she is hoping to forge relations, build friendships and grow beyond her dreams walking by fatih and not by sight.
ANDREW GREENE
Andrew Green is gymnastics coach, dance teacher and martial arts practitioner on the cusp of a new decade and new movements literally and figuratively.
A coach, performer and dance teacher since 2013. He has received his coaching education through the F.I.G. and N.C.C.P. respectively meanwhile his dance certification was received through the University of the West Indies. At this institution he received a BFA and has been developing his skills and techniques by working with different groups; ages and genders. In the past he has travelled to countries such as Jamaica, Trinidad and Cuba to perform and represent the country and grace the NIFCA stage on numerous occasions. He has taught gymnastics and dance both publicly and privately within schools and cultural institutions wherever the need may be. To date he has combined his knowledge and talents in order to present to Barbados an effective method of coaching. In short he has no limitation of resources and is ready to educate any person who is willing to learn.
